I also question whether it would be possible to scrutinise the application of the Working Time Directive in this directive, given that most of the records would be held back at base and not in the lorry concerned.

Je sais qu'un député bloquiste y a assisté et il nous a même été possible de nous pencher sur certaines questions jugées prioritaires, non pas que cela lie en quoi que ce soit les futurs membres du comité, mais, étant donnée la nature de la discussion, je ne pense pas me tromper en affirmant que les actions envisagées par le comité directeur sont susceptibles d'être retenues, du moins je l'espère, car quelques-uns des membres du comité directeur, surtout du côté de l'opposition, ont indiqué qu'ils seraient de retour lorsque les comités seraient officiellement constitués, ce qui ne manquera sans doute pas de se produire dans les jours à venir.
I know that a member of the Bloc was in attendance and I think there was an opportunity to look at some priority issues, not that they are binding, necessarily, on the future composition of the committee, but given the nature of the discussion I think it would be fairly safe to say that the intent and the direction the steering committee looked at would probably be simply endorsed, hopefully, because a number of the members of the steering committee, particularly on the side of the opposition, indicated that they would be back when the committees are formally comprised, I would suggest probably within the next few days or so.
