Cet amendement corrige une erreur dans l'amendement 20 du projet de rapport, qui sera retiré, l'intention restant la même, à savoir: à l'exception des moteurs à allumage commandé couverts par la disposition spéciale établie à l'article 58, paragraphe 2, les constructeurs d'autres types de moteurs seront soumis à cette directive à partir de la fin de 2014, donc le présent amendement propose que cela soit précisé dans la directive.
This corrects a mistake in DR 20, which will be withdrawn, the intention remaining the same: Except for SI (spark ignition petrol) engines covered by the special provision laid down in Article 58.2, engine manufacturers of other engine types will be able to comply with the Directive from the end of 2014, so this AM proposes that this is clarified in the Directive.

Nous considérons ce fait comme un signe encourageant. J'aimerais donc proposer un amendement oral, sous la forme d'un nouveau paragraphe comme suit: «Accueille favorablement le fait que le Parlement nouvellement élu a montré son indépendance en élisant son président en la personne de M. Kenneth Marende, et souligne le rôle décisif que ce Parlement pourra jouer dans la restauration des libertés civiles au Kenya».
We view that as an encouraging sign, and I would therefore like to propose an oral amendment, in the form of a new paragraph reading as follows: ‘Welcomes the fact that the newly-elected Parliament showed its independence by the election of Mr Kenneth Marende as its speaker, and underlines the decisive role to be played by that Parliament in restoring civil liberties in Kenya’.
