À la suite de la proposition de la Commission relative à la refonte de la directive sur l’interopérabilité, le Conseil «Transports» a adopté une «approche générale» portant sur de nouvelles règles, qui établira une autorisation européenne unique pour la mise sur le marché de l’UE des véhicules ferroviaires et renforcera le rôle central de l’Agence ferroviaire européenne.
Following the proposal of the Commission for the recast of the interoperability directive, the Transport Council adopted a "general approach" on new rules which will introduce a single European authorisation for placing railway vehicles on the EU market, and will reinforce the central role of the European Railway Agency.

Sans les amendements de MM. Rocard et Buzek, la directive renforcera l’approche trop libérale adoptée à l’égard des aspects fondamentaux qui définissent le concept d’invention et sanctionnera cette approche.
Without the amendments of Mr Rocard and Mr Buzek, the directive will reinforce the overly liberal approach to the basic aspects defining the concept of an invention, as well as sanctioning this approach.
