TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

a.Réaffirmer la détermination de l’UE à mettre davantage l’accent sur les DESC dans le cadre de sa politique extérieure, y compris la programmation de l’aide extérieure, tout en soulignant que les droits de l’homme sont indivisibles et interdépendants et que le renforcement de la dimension des DESC ne reflète en aucun cas un affaiblissement des engagements existants en faveur des droits civils et politiques; souligner que la dimension des droits de l’homme est clairement reconnue dans des domaines tels que la politique sociale, la santé, l’éducation ou la qualité de vie; renforcer les capacités en veillant à ce que tous les membres concernés du personnel de l’UE et des États membres ainsi que les acteurs de la société civile, y compris les partenaires sociaux sur le terrain, soient informés des traités internationaux en matière de droits économiques, sociaux et culturels, en particulier ceux qui ont trait aux principes et aux droits fondamentaux au travail (conventions fondamentales de l’OIT).
a.Reaffirm the EU commitment to increase its focus on ESCR in EU’s external policy, including in its programming of external assistance, while also emphasizing that human rights are indivisible and interlinked, and that the strengthening of the ESCR dimension does not in any way reflect a weakening of existing commitments to Civil and Political Rights; emphasize the clear recognition of the human rights dimension in areas such as social policy, health, education, or standard of living; develop capacity building ensuring that all relevant EU and Member States staff as well as civil society actors, including social partners on the ground are informed of the international treaties related to economic, social and cultural rights, in particular those related to fundamental principles and rights at work (ILO fundamental conventions).

Afin d'y parvenir, et conformément au Traité sur le fonctionnement de l'Union européenne et à l'engagement de la Commission en faveur du dialogue social, la Commission sollicite l'avis des partenaires sociaux en lançant la deuxième phase de consultation des partenaires sociaux, qui ont à présent sept semaines pour faire savoir à la Commission s'ils sont prêts à négocier.

Demands that all the trade preferences granted by the EU in respect of fishery and aquaculture products be made strictly conditional upon the fulfilment of stringent environmental and social requirements; further demands that provisions to this effect in agreements concluded should include credible mechanisms for monitoring compliance with the undertakings given and for suspending the preferences, or simply withdrawing them, if the undertakings are breached; calls, in the case of developing countries, for the implementation of programmes specifically designed to grant technical support, and financial support if necessary, in order to help the affected States to respect their social and environmental commitments;

Endorses the view expressed in the EESC Opinion that, due to its demographic characteristics, the Roma community has asymmetrical access to social benefits; stresses that social benefits are intended to counterbalance the burdens or lacks arising from individual life situation, the commitment of looking after children and other socially useful commitments;
