14. Recalls that, under Annex XVI to the Rules of Procedure, evaluation statements must be adopted and made public within 24 hours after the hearing; notes, however, that the procedure actually followed was not in conformity with that provision, as evaluation statements were made available only after the Conference of Presidents had declared the hearings closed; stresses the need to clarify that provision to allow publication of evaluation statements on a visible place on Parliament’s website 24 hours after the evaluation;

Cet amendement prévoirait simplement que deux ans après la sanction de la présente loi, le Comité permanent de la sécurité publique et nationale de la Chambre des communes ou tout autre comité parlementaire désigné par le Parlement, procède à l'examen de l'application des dispositions ci-après de la présente loi et dépose le rapport de ses conclusions devant le Parlement: les dispositions qui modifient le Code criminel afin d'assujettir à une ordonnance d'inscription automatique au registre national tout délinquant sexuel qui est déclaré coupable d'une infraction désignée par la loi; et les dispositions qui modifient la loi afin d'inclure dans l'objet de celle-ci la prévention des crimes de nature sexuelle.
This amendment would simply provide that two years after this current act receives royal assent, the Standing Committee of the House of Commons on Public Safety and National Security, or such other parliamentary committee as Parliament may designate, shall review and report to Parliament on the operation of the following provisions of this act: those provisions that would amend the Criminal Code to make subject to an order for automatic inclusion in a national registry the offences the act covers, and those provisions that amend the act to include the prevention of crimes of a sexual nature.
