1. Lorsque des organisations de producteurs et des producteurs non-membres d'une organisation de producteurs ont présenté des notifications aux États membres conformément à l'article 78, paragraphe 1, et à l'article 85, paragraphe 2, du règlement d'exécution (UE) no 543/2011, qui ont ensuite été envoyées à la Commission par ces mêmes États membres, ces derniers informent les organisations de producteurs et les producteurs concernés au plus tôt deux jours civils suivant la communication à la Commission que les notifications en question ont été reçues par la Commission et qu'elles peuvent bénéficier du paiement de l'aide financière de l'Union conformément à l'article 11 en ce qui concerne ces notifications.
1. Where producer organisations and producers not being members of a producer organisation have submitted notifications to the Member States in accordance with Articles 78(1) and 85(2) of Implementing Regulation (EU) No 543/2011, of which Member States have notified the Commission, the Member States shall inform the producer organisations and producers concerned no earlier than two calendar days following the notification to the Commission, that the notifications in question have been received by the Commission and that they may be eligible for the payment of the Union financial assistance in accordance with Article 11 in relation to those notifications.

– (DE) Commissioner, on the same matter, I would immediately add the following: I have recently been approached by several Austrian consumer protection organisations regarding the apparent increase, particularly with regard to shellfish imported into the European Union, which also come to Austria, in the treatment of these shellfish with antibiotics and other undesirable medications for economic reasons – perhaps because it makes it easier to farm them.

As to the last question, regarding dialogue between the European Council and the USA, non-governmental organisations and individuals, I can only say that until now in the dialogue with the United States this issue has not been raised – nor has it yet been raised with the other parties mentioned in the question.

In cases where rules for one or more products are extended and where one or more of the activities referred to in Article 23(3)(a) are pursued by a recognised interbranch organisation and are in the general economic interest of those persons whose activities relate to one or more of the products concerned, the Member State which has granted recognition may decide that individuals or groups which are not members of the interbranch organisation but which benefit from those activities shall pay the organisation an amount equal to all or part of the financial contributions paid by its members to the extent that such contributions are intended to cover costs directly incurred as a result of pursuing the activities in question.

4.
