On 16 June 2015, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 (1) by which Saint-Gobain SA (‘Saint-Gobain’, France) acquires within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Merger Regulation control of the whole of Sika AG (‘Sika’, Switzerland), by way of purchase of all shares in Schenkler-Winkler Holding AG.

F. considérant que la Belgique a introduit la demande EGF/2013/011 BE/Saint-Gobain Sekurit en vue d'obtenir une contribution financière du Fonds à la suite de 257 licenciements consécutifs à la fermeture d'un site du groupe Saint-Gobain Sekurit (SGS), situé à Auvelais, qui produisait du verre de sécurité pour l'industrie automobile; considérant que ces licenciements sont survenus pendant et après la période de référence allant du 31 août 2013 au 31 décembre 2013 et sont liés à un recul de la production de verre de sécurité dans l'Union;
F. whereas Belgium submitted application EGF/2013/011 BE/Saint-Gobain Sekurit for a financial contribution from the EGF following 257 redundancies linked to the closure of a plant of the Saint-Gobain Sekurit (SGS) group, located in Auvelais, which produced safety glass for the automotive industry; whereas the redundancies took place during and after the reference period from 31 August 2013 to 31 December 2013 and are linked to a decline in the production of automotive safety glass in the Union;
