This "Marie Curie" Association is being set up in an attempt to boost the image and prestige of the students receiving grants. Its aims are to: . act as an interface between all the Community fellows and the world of research, including industry; . establish a structure to advise the Commission on new programmes and measures developed in the future; . increase the visibility and repute of these Community grants, thereby helping to improve the job prospects of fellows; . better monitor the future careers of fellows. At the seminar in Brussels today, 17 October, and tomorrow, 18 October, Mrs Cresson, the Commissioner responsible for research, education and training, will be presenting the "Marie Curie" label to be attached henceforth to Community research grants.
