For the substances indicated in subsection 3.2, the classification of the substance according to Directive 67/548/EEC, including indication of danger, symbol letter(s) and R phrases, shall be provided. The classification of the substance according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, including the hazard class(es) and category code(s) as provided in Table 1.1 of Annex VI to that Regulation as well as the hazard statements which are assigned in accordance with their physical, human health and environmental hazards, shall also be provided, provided that information complying with the classification criteria of that Regulation has been made available to the supplier of the mixture.

Le 4,4’-diaminodiphénylméthane (MDA) répond aux critères de classification comme substance cancérogène (de catégorie 1B) conformément au règlement (CE) no 1272/2008 et remplit donc les conditions d’inclusion dans l’annexe XIV du règlement (CE) no 1907/2006 au titre de l’article 57, point a), dudit règlement.
4,4’-Diaminodiphenylmethane (MDA) meets the criteria for classification as carcinogenic (category 1B) in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and therefore meets the criteria for inclusion in Annex XIV to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 pursuant to Article 57(a) of that Regulation.

(24 ter) Si des essais ne faisant pas appel à des animaux ou des essais ayant été affinés pour réduire le nombre ou la souffrance d'animaux utilisés pour des essais donnent lieu à des données qui ne sont pas directement compatibles avec certains critères de classification et d'étiquetage en vertu du présent règlement, mais qui respectent en tous points les critères de validation scientifique aux fins de protéger la santé humaine et l'environnement, le présent règlement doit être adapté, lorsque des arguments scientifiques valables le justifient, afin que les critères de classification et d'étiquetage ne fassent pas obstacle à l'utilisation de ces méthodes d'essai.
(24b) In the event that non-animal tests, or animal tests that have been refined to reduce the number of animals used or the suffering experienced by test animals, generate data that are not directly compatible with certain classification and labelling criteria under this Regulation, but in all respects satisfy the requirements of scientific validation for the purpose of protection of human health and the environment, this Regulation should be adapted, where there is adequate scientific justification, to ensure that classification and labelling criteria do not become a barrier to use of such test methods.
