Je ne voudrais pas critiquer Tom Ridge aujourd'hui, tout particulièrement, mais lorsque nous voyons certaines des choses qui se produisent aux États-Unis au nom de la sécurité publique, alors qu'on porte atteinte aux droits de la personne et aux libertés civiles et qu'on suspend l'application de la règle de droit, nous devons faire bien attention de ne pas suivre le même chemin.
Not to be beat up on Tom Ridge today, particularly, but when we see in the name of public security some of the things that are happening in the U.S. today in terms of trampling human rights and civil liberties, suspending the rule of law and so on, then one has to be very vigilant that we do not go down the same path.
