Je voulais dire que la différence, la tension, entre la loi et une convention c'est peut-être que la convention devrait être juridiquement exécutoire, mais ce n'est pas le cas, et c'est là où le bât blesse puisque les conventions ne sont pas codifiées dans la loi ni dans la Constitution; ou dans certains cas on pourrait prétendre que certaines lois pourraient, dans certaines circonstances, être considérées comme des conventions, mais elles ne sont pas conçues de cette façon.
I wanted to say that the difference, or the tension, between law and convention is that perhaps convention should be enforceable by law, but it is not, and that is the problem because conventions are not written down in law or in the Constitution; or in some cases you could make the argument that certain laws could be convention if certain conditions are met, but that is not the way they are framed.
