Highlights that, as regards the notions of barrier-free environments and accessibility, inclusive design, as an innovative approach, covers both architecture and services which better suit the needs of all people, regardless of disability and which foster more sustainable and inclusive lifestyles; stresses that accessibility of the internet, including access to ICT skills, can be beneficial not only for people with visual impairments but also for people with other kinds of disabilities, and that more attention should be paid to the deaf and hard of hearing using sign language, especially older people with hearing disabilities, as their number and share in society is increasing, according to estimations by the World Health Organisation; calls on the Union and Member States, therefore, to share examples of innovative design and to cooperate in the field of standardisation;

Pour résumer, avant de céder la parole à mon collègue, à la page 13, si on parle d'innovation et de transformer l'industrie canadienne, il faut aussi transformer la façon dont on voit l'innovation et ne pas seulement voir l'innovation comme étant de la recherche ou de l'investissement dans la recherche, mais comprendre que c'est tout un écosystème qu'on doit établir, qui tient compte des concepts suivants, c'est-à-dire les besoins des clients, car on a besoin de clients déjà au départ.
To sum up, before giving the floor to my colleague, on page 13, you can see that if we are going to talk about innovation and the transformation of the Canadian industry, then we also need to transform the way in which we perceive innovation, that is, we cannot only perceive innovation as being research or investment in research, we also have to understand that we must establish an ecosystem that takes into account certain concepts including clients' needs, because we need those clients from the outset.

Le programme STRIDE luxembourgeois comprend trois mesures cofinancées par le FEDER: - fonctionnement d'une agence de transfert de technologie et d'innovation au service du développement régional; - activités de sensibilisation: - dans le domaine de l'analyse et le traitement des surfaces de nouveaux matériaux; - dans le domaine de la production assistée par ordinateur au concept Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM); - activités d'assistance scientifique/technologique (aussi pour les deux domaines mentionnés ci-dessus).
