T. considérant que les élections présidentielles de 2014 en Égypte se sont déroulées dans un contexte de restrictions sévères à la liberté d'expression et que toutes les formes d'opposition et de critique, y compris celles émanant d'organisations de défense des droits de l'homme, avaient été étouffées; considérant que des élections législatives ont été officiellement annoncées pour le 21 mars et le 25 avril 2015;
T. whereas the 2014 presidential elections in Egypt took place in a context where room for freedom of expression had been severely restricted, and all forms of dissent and criticism, including those of human rights organisations, stifled; whereas parliamentary elections have been officially announced for 21 March and 25 April 2015;

Je le félicite pour son ouverture vis-à-vis des propositions présentées durant le débat, y compris celles émanant de notre groupe, même s’il est possible selon moi d’aller encore un plus loin.
– (PT) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, this report is the result of a major piece of work undertaken by the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs, coordinated by our colleague Mr Menrad, whom I congratulate on the openness he has shown in considering the proposals tabled during the debate, including several from our group, although I personally think that the report could have gone even further.
