Le rapport sur l'enquête concernant les déclarations erronées des statistiques en Autriche a conclu que la cour des comptes, l'administration et le gouvernement du Land de Salzbourg, c'est-à-dire des entités appartenant au secteur des administrations publiques de la République d'Autriche, ont fait preuve de négligence grave en ne garantissant pas des procédures appropriées de compilation, de contrôle et de déclaration des comptes, ce qui a conduit à la communication de chiffres inexacts de la dette en 2012 et 2013.
The report on the investigation related to the misrepresentation of statistics in Austria concluded that the Court of Audit, State Office and State Government of Land Salzburg, i.e. entities within the general government sector of the Republic of Austria, were seriously negligent in not ensuring appropriate compilation controls and reporting procedures, leading to incorrect reporting of debt to Eurostat in 2012 and 2013.

5. demande instamment aux États membres de veiller à ce qu'aucun acte terroriste ne trouve son origine à l'intérieur de leurs frontières et de consacrer par conséquent suffisamment de ressources à la lutte contre la radicalisation et le terrorisme sur leur territoire; demande l'instauration d'une coopération plus étroite entre l'Union et l'OTAN pour lutter contre le terrorisme et suggère que la haute représentante/vice-présidente et le coordinateur de la lutte contre le terrorisme participent activement aux discussions à ce sujet avec l'OTAN; se félicite des regroupements informels d'États membres tels que le groupe de Salzbourg, le groupe d'action contre la criminalité organisée dans la région de la mer Baltique et le G6, qui se réunissent pour établir une coordination en matière de sécurité et mener des exercices antiterroristes; recommande que d'autres États membres soient associés à ces initiatives et que des formations communes soient organisées pour les forces de sécurité et de police des États membres;
5. Urges EU Member States to ensure that no acts of terrorism originate from within their own borders and therefore commit sufficient resources to domestic counter-radicalization and counter-terrorism; calls for closer cooperation between the EU and NATO in counter-terrorism policy and suggests that the HR/VP and Counter-Terrorism Coordinator should be actively engaged in counter-terrorism discussions with NATO; welcomes informal groupings of Member States such as the Salzburg Group, Baltic Sea Task Force and G6 coming together to coordinate security and conduct anti-terrorist exercises; advocates widening these efforts to include more Member States and recommends shared training between security and police forces of Member States;

The present Communication follows up on the Thessaloniki agenda and the Salzburg Communication, in line with the Commission’s November 2007 enlargement strategy paper.

24. se félicite de l'initiative de la Commission de dresser l'état des lieux des développements et d'indiquer la voie à suivre dans le prolongement de l'agenda de Thessalonique et de la communication de Salzbourg sur la promotion du rapprochement des Balkans occidentaux avec l'Union européenne; constate l'intention de la Commission d'attacher une attention particulière au soutien de la mise en œuvre du statut futur du Kosovo; est préoccupé par le fait que la configuration de la future présence de l'Union européenne au Kosovo risque d'être fragmentée;
24. Welcomes the Commission’s initiative of taking stock of developments and pointing the way forward in following up on the Thessaloniki agenda and the Salzburg Communication on promoting the course of the Western Balkans towards the EU; notes the Commission’s intention to pay particular attention to supporting the implementation of the future status of Kosovo; expresses concern that the configuration of the future EU presence in Kosovo risks being fragmented;

11. se félicite des ambitions affichées lors de la deuxième Conférence européenne sur le développement rural, qui s'est tenue à Salzbourg en novembre 2003, mais déplore que le financement fortement réduit accordé au deuxième pilier de la politique agricole commune (PAC) par les dernières perspectives financières comporte un risque d'inefficacité et de création d’un clivage entre les agriculteurs et les autres habitants des zones rurales;
11. Welcomes the ambitions set out at the Second European Conference on Rural Development in Salzburg in 2003 but regrets the fact that the funding granted under the second pillar of the CAP by the latest financial perspectives has been significantly reduced, risking inefficiency and creating a division between the farmer and the rural dweller;

Finally, I fully agree with those who underlined the need to work towards European accession in the present or next generation, which is why the Salzburg Communication includes proposals concerning visa facilitation and scholarship schemes.

Avant la réunion de Salzbourg, la présente communication fait le point sur l’évolution de la situation depuis le sommet de Thessalonique et présente des mesures concrètes permettant de renforcer la politique et les instruments de l’Union dans le sens du document stratégique de la Commission sur l’élargissement de novembre 2005. Comme l’a conclu le Conseil en décembre, le document de stratégie constitue une bonne base pour la suite des travaux sur l’élargissement qui doivent être réalisés en 2006.
Ahead of the Salzburg meeting, this Communication assesses developments since Thessaloniki and sets out concrete measures to reinforce its policy and instruments in line with the Commission’s strategy Paper on enlargement of November 2005 As the Council concluded in December, the Strategy Paper is a good basis for the discussion of enlargement issues in 2006.
