Conformément au règlement (CE) no 1894/2006 du Conseil du 18 décembre 2006 concernant la mise en œuvre de l’accord sous forme d’échange de lettres entre la Communauté européenne et le Brésil concernant la modification de concessions dans les listes d’engagements de la République tchèque, de la République d’Estonie, de la République de Chypre, de la République de Lettonie, de la République de Lituanie, de la République de Hongrie, de la République de Malte, de la République de Pologne, de la République de Slovénie et de la République slovaque, dans le cadre du processus d’adhésion à la Communauté européenne, modifiant et complétant l’annexe I du règlement (CEE) no 2658/87 relatif à la nomenclature tarifaire et statistique et au tarif douanier commun , la Communauté s’est engagée à importer du Brésil un contingent tarifaire de 10 124 tonnes de sucre brut de canne à raffiner, à un droit de 98 EUR par tonne.
In accordance with Council Regulation (EC) No 1894/2006 of 18 December 2006 concerning the implementation of the Agreement in the form of an Exchange of Letters between the European Community and Brazil relating to the modification of concessions in the schedules of the Czech Republic, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Malta, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovak Republic in the course of accession to the European Community, amending and supplementing Annex I to Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87 on the tariff and statistical nomenclature and on the Common Customs Tariff , the Community has undertaken to import from Brazil a tariff rate quota of 10 124 tonnes of raw cane sugar for refining at a rate of duty of EUR 98 per tonne.

70. estime urgent que la Turquie satisfasse à l'obligation à laquelle elle est soumise en matière de mise en œuvre non discriminatoire du protocole additionnel à l'accord d'association; demande à la Commission d'appuyer les efforts tendant à réaliser des progrès dans les pourparlers entre communautés concernant Chypre et la normalisation des relations bilatérales entre la Turquie et la République de Chypre;
70. Considers it urgent that Turkey fulfils its obligation of full non-discriminatory implementation of the Additional Protocol to the Association Agreement; calls on the Commission to support efforts to achieve progress in intercommunal talks on Cyprus and normalisation of bilateral relations between Turkey and the Republic of Cyprus;

7. demande au Conseil de respecter ses engagements et de mettre fin à l'isolement de la communauté chypriote turque; invite le Conseil, sous la présidence britannique actuelle, à renouveler ses efforts afin de parvenir à un accord sur les mesures d'aide financière et sur les dispositions relatives à la facilitation des échanges concernant Chypre-Nord afin que l'UE honore ses propres engagements à l'égard de la communauté turque chypriote;
7. Calls on the Council also to deliver on promises and to put an end to the isolation of the Turkish Cypriot community; calls on the Council, under the current UK Presidency, to make renewed efforts to reach agreement on the financial aid package and on trade facilitation regulations concerning the northern part of Cyprus in order that the EU honour its own commitments with respect to the Turkish Cypriot community;

9. demande au Conseil de respecter ses engagements et de mettre fin à l'isolement de la communauté chypriote turque; invite le Conseil, sous la présidence britannique actuelle, à renouveler ses efforts afin de parvenir à un accord sur les mesures d'aide financière et sur les dispositions relatives à la facilitation des échanges concernant Chypre-Nord afin que l'UE honore ses propres engagements à l'égard de la communauté turque chypriote;

4. souligne que la Turquie doit mettre pleinement en oeuvre le protocole d'Ankara sans retard inutile et étendre les dispositions de la libre circulation des biens à tous les États membres de l'UE, que le Conseil devrait, sous la présidence britannique actuelle, renouveler ses efforts afin de parvenir à un accord sur les mesures d'aide financière et sur les dispositions relatives à la facilitation des échanges concernant Chypre-Nord afin que l'UE honore ses propres engagements à l'égard de la communauté turque chypriote;
4. Underlines that while Turkey must fully implement the Ankara Protocol without undue delay, and extend the provisions of free movement for goods to all EU Member States, the Council should, under the current UK Presidency, make renewed efforts to reach agreement on the financial aid package and on the trade facilitation regulations concerning Northern Cyprus in order that the EU honour its own commitments with respect to the Turkish Cypriot community;

En ce qui concerne Chypre, il faut préciser qu’une partie de l’aide technique et financière prévue dans les instruments visera le rapprochement des communautés grecques et turques et la solution définitive du problème de la partition de l’île.
As far as Cyprus is concerned, part of the technical and financial aid provided for in the instruments will be used to bring the Greek and Turkish communities closer together and solve the problem of the partition of the island once and for all.
