CONFIRMANT que les dispositions du présent accord qui relèvent de la troisième partie, titre IV, du traité instituant la Communauté lient le Royaume-Uni et l'Irlande en tant que parties contractantes distinctes et non en qualité d'États membres de la Communauté jusqu'à ce que le Royaume-Uni ou l'Irlande (selon le cas) notifie au Liban qu'il est désormais lié en tant que membre de la Communauté, conformément au protocole sur la position du Royaume-Uni et de l'Irlande annexé au traité sur l'Union européenne et au traité instituant la Communauté européenne.

In international negotiations, Member States and the Community should develop a common action and closely cooperate during the whole negotiations process so as to safeguard the unity of the international representation of the Community in line with the procedures which had been agreed in the Council conclusions of 3 February 1992 for the World Administrative Radio Conference and as confirmed by the Council conclusions of 22 September 1997 and 2 May 2000.

5. Si les conditions d'application de mesures de sauvegarde prévues à l'article 8 sont réunies, il reviendrait à la Communauté, conformément au paragraphe 1 de l'article 9 relatif aux consultations préalables en ce qui concerne l'application de mesures de sauvegarde, d'entrer immédiatement en consultation avec les États ACP concernés en leur fournissant toutes les informations nécessaires à ces consultations, notamment les données permettant de déterminer dans quelle mesure les importations d'un produit déterminé en provenance d'un ou de plusieurs États ACP ont provoqué ou risqué de provoquer un préjudice grave aux producteurs communautaires de produits similaires ou directement concurrentiels ou des perturbations sérieuses dans un secteur de l'activité économique de la Communauté ou des difficultés pouvant se traduire par l'altération grave de la situation économique d'une région de la Communauté.
5. If the conditions of application of safeguard measures as provided for in Article 8 are fulfilled, it would be the responsibility of the Community, in accordance with Article 9(1) relating to prior consultations concerning the application of safeguard measures, to enter immediately into consultations with the ACP States concerned by providing them with all the information necessary for those consultations, especially the necessary data from which to determine to what extent imports of a specific product from an ACP State or States have caused or threatened to cause serious injury to the Community's domestic producers of like or directly competitive products or serious disturbances in a sector of the economy of the Community or difficulties which could bring about serious deterioration in the economic situation of a region of the Community.
