However, in Council Regulation (EC) No 1083/2006 laying down general provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund, and the Cohesion Fund, EUR 7750 million has been set aside for the European territorial cooperation objective, whereby activities falling within the scope of the INTERREG Community initiative will be continued in the next funding period.
