60. Par dérogation à quelque disposition de la présente loi, ou de quelque convention, contrat ou autre pièce, chaque fois qu’il s’agit de la consolidation de la dette d’un colon, la Commission peut faire délivrer au colon personnellement ou lui faire expédier par la poste à sa dernière adresse connue de la Commission, un avis signé par le fonctionnaire qu’elle peut désigner, énonçant le montant de la totalité de la dette du colon à la date de la consolidation, les dates et les montants des versements à faire sur cette dette par le colon, et le montant alors échu et payable. 60. Notwithstanding anything in this Act, or in any agreement, contract, or other document, in any case in which the indebtedness of a settler is consolidated, the Board may cause to be delivered to the settler personally or to be directed by mail to him at his address last known to the Board, a notice signed by such official as the Board may designate, setting forth the amount of the total indebtedness of the settler at date of consolidation, the dates and amounts of payments to be made thereon by the settler, and the amount then due and payable, and the production of a copy of such notice certified under the seal of the Board shall be accepted for all purposes and in all Courts as prima facie evidence of the due service of the notice on the settler and of the amount of the settler’s indebtedness, the dates and amounts of payments to be made thereon, and the amount then due and payable as in said notice set forth.

Mme Jan Brown (Calgary-Sud-Est, Réf) propose: Motion no 76 Qu'on modifie le projet de loi C-12, à l'article 63: a) par substitution, à la ligne 25, page 60, de ce qui suit: «63 (1) Sous réserve du paragraphe (2), la Commission peut, avec l'approba-»; b) par adjonction, après la ligne 37, page 60, de ce qui suit: «(2) La Commission doit, dans les meilleurs délais, conclure avec le gouvernement d'une province un accord prévoyant le versement annuel à celui-ci d'une contribution équivalente à tous les frais et à toutes les dépenses liés aux prestations d'emploi et aux mesures de soutien devant être faites à chaque année par la Commission dans cette province en vertu de la présente partie lorsque le gouvernement de la province fait parvenir par écrit à la Commission un avis indiquant qu'il désire conclure un tel accord».
Mrs. Jan Brown (Calgary Southeast, Ref) moved: Motion No. 76 That Bill C-12, in Clause 63, be amended by (a) replacing line 19, on page 60, with the following: ``63 (1) Subject to subsection (2), the Commission may, with the approv-''; and (b) adding the following after line 34 on page 60: ``(2) Where the government of a province notifies the Commission in writing that it wishes to enter into an agreement to provide for the annual payment by the Commission of contributions equivalent to all costs and expenses relating to the employment benefits and support measures that are to be made each year by the Commission in the province, the Commission shall enter into such an agreement forthwith'.
