In the period 1 November 2013-30 April 2014, the Commission requested information on possible violations of articles 21 and/or 22 of the Schengen Borders Code in two new cases (regarding Italy and Slovenia), while it closed two cases (involving Spain and Sweden) and continued investigating three existing cases (regarding Austria, Belgium and Germany).
