(SV) Madam President, I will attempt to speak Swedish and say something about an important point that has been raised here today, namely how the text of the new treaty is related to the reality that we want to change, how the text of the new Treaty of Lisbon is to guide us and give us the tools we need to take decisions on how to combat climate change, how to deal with the economic crisis and what follows in its wake, namely unemployment and social problems, and how to tackle migration problems and other issues that are high on our agenda.

We welcome the success of the recent donors’ conference in Doha of the International Reconstruction Fund Facility for Iraq, and will work together and with key governments and organisations before the next conference in Tokyo later this year to identify ways in which the international community can continue to effectively contribute to the reconstruction of Iraq.

We must ask what lessons we can learn from experience so far in order to improve further co-operation and exchanges, and to consider how we can involve future Member States in the various networks.
