Néanmoins, la rapporteure est d'avis que le rôle du comité consultatif pour l'évaluation des risques en matière de pharmacovigilance peut être davantage renforcé en l'habilitant à recommander des mesures au comité des médicaments à usage humain, au lieu de le cantonner dans son rôle consultatif actuel unique de conseiller et, pour ce qui est de ses membres, d'étendre leur nombre à un représentant par État membre. En vue d'améliorer la transparence du travail du comité consultatif pour l'évaluation des risques en matière de pharmacovigilance, votre rapporteure suggère également de désigner deux autres représentants aux fins de la représentation des patients et des professionnels de la santé, à l'instar d'autres comités de l'EMEA.
However, the rapporteur believes that the PRAAC ‘s role can be strengthened still by giving it the power to recommend action to the CHMP rather than simply providing advice to it and be extending its membership to one representative per Member State.To reinforce the transparency of the work of the PRAAC , your rapporteur also proposes that two additional representatives be appointed to represent patients and healthcare professionals, as is the case with other EMEA Committees.
