Des progrès ont également été réalisés en matière d'évaluation des crises et de la vulnérabilité, grâce à la création d'un indice des risques humanitaires (InfoRM[30]) commun, transparent et fondé sur des informations scientifiques, basé sur des données ouvertes et visant à harmoniser la gestion des risques de catastrophes entre les différents acteurs de l'aide humanitaire (une initiative conjointe du Comité permanent interorganisations des Nations unies et de la Commission européenne, ainsi que des donateurs, des ONG et des États membres).
Progress has been also made in crisis and vulnerability assessments through the development of a common, transparent science-based humanitarian risk index (InfoRM[30]) based on open data and aimed at harmonizing disaster risk management across humanitarian actors (a joint initiative of the UN Inter-Agency Standing Committee and the European Commission as well as donors, NGOs and Member States).

It replaces the following existing committees: the Standing Committee on Foodstuffs, the Standing Committee on Animal Nutrition and the Standing Veterinary Committee.
