According to the information currently available to me, and contrary to what is stated in the answer to Question P-0400/05, Colonel Hamid Pourmand was sentenced by a military court for allegedly deceiving the Iranian army by failing to inform it of his conversion to Christianity before being promoted to the rank of colonel – a charge totally rejected by Colonel Pourmand – but has not yet been tried for apostasy by the religious courts of the Iranian totalitarian theocracy.
