(8) Conformément à l'objectif consistant à délimiter avec précision quels organismes de placement collectif seront régis par le présent règlement et afin de veiller à ce que ceux-ci se concentrent sur la fourniture de capitaux à des petites entreprises qui se trouvent aux premiers stades de leur existence, les fonds de capital-risque éligibles sont censés être des fonds qui souhaitent investir au moins 70 % de leurs apports en capital et de leur capital souscrit non appelé dans de telles entreprises.
(8) In line with the aim of precisely circumscribing the collective investment undertakings which will be covered by this Regulation and in order to ensure a focus on providing capital to small undertakings in the initial stages of their corporate existence, qualifying venture capital funds should be deemed to be those funds that intend to invest at least 70 % of their aggregate capital contributions and uncalled committed capital in such undertakings.

(8) Conformément à l'objectif consistant à délimiter avec précision quels organismes de placement collectif seront régis par le présent règlement et afin de veiller à ce que ceux-ci se concentrent sur la fourniture de capitaux à des petites entreprises qui se trouvent aux premiers stades de leur existence, la dénomination "fonds de capital-risque européen" ne devrait pouvoir être utilisée que par les fonds qui, en moyenne, investissent au cours des deux années suivant leur premier investissement réalisé conformément au présent règlement au moins 55 % de leur capital souscrit appelé dans de telles entreprises et, ensuite, au moins 70 %, après déduction de tous les coûts pertinents et des éléments de trésorerie ou d'équivalents de trésorerie détenus à court terme.
(8) In line with the aim of precisely circumscribing the collective investment undertakings which will be covered by this Regulation and in order to ensure their focus on providing capital to small undertakings in the initial stages of their corporate existence, the designation "European Venture Capital Fund" should be restricted to those funds that on average invest in the two years following the first investment in accordance with this Regulation at least 55% and thereafter at least 70 % of their called committed capital in such undertakings, after deduction of all relevant costs, short-term holdings in cash and cash equivalents.
