- (DE) Monsieur le Président, Mesdames et Messieurs, au cours des années où nous étions, dans cette Assemblée, occupés à des résolutions sur le processus d’élargissement, j’ai parfois trouvé qu’il était déroutant que nous fassions des demandes assez détaillées et précises aux pays concernés, leur imposant des conditions que nous ne respections pas nous-mêmes et leur disant que telle ou telle chose devait radicalement changer.
– (DE) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, throughout the years in which we in this House busied ourselves with resolutions on the enlargement process, I sometimes found it disconcerting when we made quite detailed and precise demands of the countries concerned, imposing on them requirements with which we ourselves did not comply and telling them that this, this and that had to be utterly changed.
