Les Français se sont peut-être aussi résignés, si l’information d’un journal allemand du 13 décembre est vraie, à savoir si le président Chirac a bien promis au Premier ministre belge contrarié (qui a été proclamé héros de Nice), lors d’un marchandage en règle à Nice, que toutes les rencontres au sommet et une période de session plénière du PE supplémentaire auraient bientôt lieu à Bruxelles.
