- (DE) Monsieur le Président, je félicite le Premier ministre pour l’allocution qu’il a prononcée devant cette Assemblée et je le remercie pour sa fermeté au sujet du Traité constitutionnel - pas de nouvelles négociations, pas d’expurgation, pas de Traité amputé, pas de mini-Traité réglant uniquement quelques questions institutionnelles, car cela priverait réellement le nouveau Traité de son âme, comme cela a été indiqué précédemment.
– (DE) Mr President, I congratulate the Prime Minister on his speech to this House, and am also grateful for his clear line on the constitutional treaty – no new negotiations, no cherry-picking, no residual stump of a treaty, no mini-treaty regulating just a few institutional matters – for such a thing, as has already been said here, really would rob the new treaty of its heart and soul.
