Bien que nous nous trouvions au bord de la violence généralisée, qui serait catastrophique, la société ivoirienne réussit aussi jusqu’à présent ce test difficile: elle a donné la majorité au candidat réformiste, M. Ouattara, et elle semble avoir appris la leçon du grand écrivain ivoirien Ahmadou Kourouma, qui a publié en 1998 un livre au titre évocateur «En attendant les votes des bêtes sauvages», qui raconte cette histoire d’un point de vue démocratique et très ivoirien.
