À présent, je voudrais, au nom de nous tous, remercier mon prédécesseur, M. Borrell Fontelles, pour ses efforts incessants, et je le fais pour une raison particulière et personnelle, car, dans mes anciennes fonctions de président de groupe, j’ai eu des contacts constants et des relations fructueuses avec lui. Je remercie donc Josep Borrell du fond du cœur.
Right now, I should like, on behalf of us all, to thank my predecessor in office, Mr Borrell Fontelles, for his tireless endeavours, and I do this for a particular and personal reason, in that, in my former role as a group chairman, I had constant dealings, and a fruitful relationship, with him, so my heartfelt thanks go to Josep Borrell.
