Je voudrais maintenant dire un grand merci pour ce que l’équipe de l’Europe a accompli au cours des six derniers mois, en premier lieu au Parlement européen, où des membres du gouvernement autrichien se sont montrés à plus de soixante occasions, et nos statisticiens me disent que cela représente ni plus ni moins que le chiffre le plus élevé de toutes les présidences, mais je tiens tout particulièrement à remercier votre président, M. Borrell, de sa coopération, de son amitié et des suggestions qu’il nous a constamment soumises.
I would like, then, to say a big ‘thank you’ for what Team Europe has done over the past six months, firstly to the European Parliament, where members of the Austrian Government have put in an appearance on over sixty occasions, and our statisticians tell me that this amounts to the highest turnout of all presidencies bar none, but I would like most especially to thank your President, Mr Borrell, for his cooperation, his friendship and for the suggestions he has constantly been making.
