Dans une lettre adressée au Président du Conseil économique et social d'Espagne, Jaime Montalvo, M. Briesch exprime la solidarité des membres et des fonctionnaire du CESE à la société civile ainsi qu'au peuple espagnol: "Nous exprimons notre peine pour les personnes qui ont perdu leur vie par ces actes de barbarie, soutenons celles qui ont été blessées et transmettons, par vos soins, nos condoléances aux familles concernées".
In a letter to the President of the Spanish Economic and Social Council, Mr Jaime Montalvo, Mr Briesch voiced the solidarity of EESC members and staff with Spanish civil society and the people of Spain, expressing dismay at the loss of life in these acts of savagery, offering encouragement to the injured and asking Mr Montalvo to ensure that the condolences of the EESC, its members and staff were conveyed to all the families concerned.
