La Suisse exige, lorsque des biens culturels sont importés ou en transit, que les objets soient accompagnés d'une déclaration aux termes de laquelle les biens culturels provenant de signataires de la convention de l'UNESCO de 1970 ne sont pas soumis à une autorisation en vertu des lois de l'État concerné.

The Council would like to draw the honourable Member’s attention to Council Regulation (EC) No 1210/2003 of 7 July 2003 concerning certain specific restrictions on economic and financial relations with Iraq. This states that it is prohibited to import into the territory of the Community, export from the territory of the Community and to deal in Iraqi cultural property and other items of archaeological, historical, cultural, rare scientific and religious importance if they have been illegally removed from locations in Iraq.
