Nous n'avons eu que trois débats sur ce thème au Parlement européen. C'est un manque que je déplore parce que la Commission européenne, en cette Année de la montagne, a tenté, pour clôturer cette conférence dont vous nous avez parlé - elle a eu lieu à Bruxelles au mois d'octobre grâce aux efforts des commissaires Fischler et Barnier -, de se faire une image de la situation et d'inviter ou d'entendre tous les acteurs qui se sont engagés dans le contexte de cette année thématique.
Up to now, we have only had three debates on this topic in this House, something that I regret, even though the Commission rounded off the International Year of Mountains by organising the conference you have already mentioned in an effort to form a picture of the situation and invite or listen to everyone involved in that Year. This conference was held in Brussels in October thanks to the efforts of Commissioners Fischler and Barnier.
