Lors du 2e Conseil d'association UE-Chili qui a eu lieu en mars 2005[14], le Chili a une nouvelle fois exprimé son intérêt pour un accord portant à la fois sur le libre accès au marché et sur le rapprochement des réglementations. L’ouverture de négociations dans le domaine des transports aériens renforcera encore les liens économiques et politiques entre l’UE et le Chili .
Chile has reiterated its interest in an agreement that would encompass both liberalisation of market access and regulatory convergence in the 2nd EU-Chile Association Council in May 2005.[14] Opening negotiations in the field of air transport will further strengthen the economic and political links between the EU and Chile .
