Dans ce cadre, les quatre règlements ont principalement pour objectif 1) d'améliorer et de renforcer la sécurité, 2) d'appuyer le concept d'un espace aérien opérationnel plus intégré dans le cadre de la politique commune des transports, 3) d'établir des exigences communes pour garantir une fourniture sûre et efficace des services de navigation aérienne dans la Communauté, et 4) de réaliser l'interopérabilité entre les différents systèmes, composants et procédures associées du réseau européen de gestion du trafic aérien.
Within this context, the main objectives of the four Regulations are 1) to improve and reinforce safety, 2) to support the concept of a more integrated operating airspace within the context of the common transport policy, 3) to establish common requirements for the safe and efficient provision of air navigation services in the Community, and 4) to achieve interoperability between the different systems, constituents and associated procedures of the European air traffic management network.
