IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

Ayant estimé que le contenu de la proposition est entièrement satisfaisant et que par ailleurs il avait déjà fait l'objet de son avis CESE 794/2011 — 2010/0373 (COD), adopté le 5 mai 2011 (1), le Comité, lors de sa 495e session plénière des 21 et 22 janvier 2014 (séance du 21 janvier 2014), a décidé, par 159 voix pour, 1 voix contre et 4 abstentions, de rendre un avis favorable au texte proposé et de se référer à la position qu'il a soutenue dans le document susmentionné.
Since the Committee endorses the content of the proposal and has already set out its views on the subject in its earlier opinion CESE 794/2011 — 2010/0373 (COD), adopted on 5 May 2011 (1), it decided, at its 495th plenary session of 21 and 22 January 2014 (meeting of 21 January), by 159 votes to 1 with 4 abstentions, to issue an opinion endorsing the proposed text and to refer to the position it had taken in the above-mentioned document.

In October 2011 the North Western Waters Regional Advisory Council (NWWRAC) issued advice that the current technical measures in the Celtic Sea should be improved to reduce discards, especially of haddock and whiting, by requiring the use of an appropriately positioned square-meshed panel of a specified size depending on the gear type and engine power of the vessel.
