En plus des GCI établis par chaque partie, l’accord de libre-échange entre l’Union européenne et la Corée prévoit également la tenue, une fois par an, d’un forum de la société civile , dans le cadre duquel les deux groupes consultatifs se rencontrent lors d’une réunion conjointe pour travailler ensemble et peuvent élaborer des avis et recommandations.
In addition to the DAG set up by each Party, the EU-Korea FTA also provides for the holding of a civil society forum once a year, where the two DAGs meet to work together during a joint meeting and have the option of preparing opinions and recommendations.

À la demande d’un PTOM, la Commission peut accorder le cumul de l’origine entre un PTOM et un pays avec lequel l’Union a conclu et applique un accord de libre-échange au titre de l’article XXIV de l’accord général sur les tarifs douaniers et le commerce (GATT), pour autant que les conditions suivantes soient remplies:

Welcomes the encouraging progress in the negotiations on the Association Agreement with Moldova: calls on both sides to give priority to the needs of the people of Moldova, in particular with a view to overcome the social consequences of the difficult economic situation and to further facilitate the visa regime with the aim to arriving as soon as possible at visa liberalisation: takes the view that free trade is not the appropriate way to help Moldova to overcome economic problems;

4. insiste pour que l'accord de libre-échange comporte un mécanisme obligatoire de règlement des différends d'État à État, des dispositions sur la médiation en matière d'obstacles non tarifaires, sur les mesures antidumping et les droits compensateurs, ainsi qu'une clause d'exception générale fondée sur les articles XX et XXI de l'Accord général sur les tarifs douaniers et le commerce (GATT);
4. Stresses that the FTA includes a binding state-to-state dispute settlement mechanism, provisions on mediation on NTBs, on anti-dumping and countervailing duty measures and a general exception clause based on Article XX and XXI of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT);

L'accord de libre-échange est compatible avec l'article XXIV du GATT et l'article V de l'AGCS.
