Si le gouvernement nous avait présenté franchement un projet de loi sur cette question épineuse des prestations aux conjoints de même sexe, qui refait surface année après année, nous aurions pu tenir un véritable débat à ce sujet et examiner la question comme elle mérite de l'être.
Had the government come in through the front door, honestly, with a bill dealing with the thorny issue which has been surfacing year after year of same sex benefits, we could have had an honest debate and really dealt with it in the way that it deserves to be dealt with.
