5. Each of the institutions in question shall notify the contact institution and the other institutions in question, as soon as possible, of the periods of insurance or residence subject to their legislation.

6. Chacune des institutions concernées procède au calcul du montant des prestations conformément à l’article 52 du règlement de base et communique à l’institution de contact et aux autres institutions concernées sa décision, le montant des prestations dues, ainsi que toute information requise aux fins des articles 53 à 55 du règlement de base.

Each of the institutions in question shall calculate the amount of benefits in accordance with Article 52 of the basic Regulation and shall notify the contact institution and the other institutions concerned of its decision, of the amount of benefits due and of any information required for the purposes of Articles 53 to 55 of the basic Regulation.

Sans préjudice des obligations de base des institutions concernées, la personne concernée peut soumettre à l’institution compétente un document délivré par l’institution de l’État membre à la législation duquel elle était soumise au cours de sa dernière activité salariée ou non salariée et précisant les périodes accomplies sous cette législation.
Without prejudice to the underlying obligations of the institutions involved, the person concerned may submit to the competent institution a document issued by the institution of the Member State to whose legislation he was subject in respect of his last activity as an employed or self-employed person specifying the periods completed under that legislation.

6. Si la personne concernée omet de fournir les informations mentionnées au paragraphe 1, le présent article est appliqué à l’initiative de l’institution désignée par l’autorité compétente de l’État membre de résidence dès qu’elle est instruite de la situation de cette dernière, éventuellement par l’intermédiaire d’une autre institution concernée.
6. If the person concerned fails to provide the information referred to in paragraph 1, this Article shall be applied at the initiative of the institution designated by the competent authority of the Member State of residence as soon as it is appraised of that person’s situation, possibly via another institution concerned.

3. La détermination provisoire de la législation applicable visée au paragraphe 2 devient définitive dans les deux mois suivant sa notification à l’institution désignée par les autorités compétentes des États membres concernés, conformément au paragraphe 2, sauf si la législation a déjà fait l’objet d’une détermination définitive en application du paragraphe 4, ou si au moins une des institutions concernées informe l’institution désignée par l’autorité compétente de l’État membre de résidence, à l’expiration de cette période de deux mois, qu’elle ne peut encore accepter la détermination ou qu’elle a un avis différent à cet égard.
3. The provisional determination of the applicable legislation, as provided for in paragraph 2, shall become definitive within two months of the institutions designated by the competent authorities of the Member States concerned being informed of it, in accordance with paragraph 2, unless the legislation has already been definitively determined on the basis of paragraph 4, or at least one of the institutions concerned informs the institution designated by the competent authority of the Member State of residence by the end of this two-month period that it cannot yet accept the determination or that it takes a different view on this.
