Calls for the HLWG to build on the experience and achievements of the TEC and underlines the need for close involvement of the relevant parliamentary committees; considers that the transatlantic dialogue, in order to be successful, needs to be further intensified at all levels, and that high-level meetings, not only between the Commission and US Administration but also between members of relevant committees of Parliament and the US Congress, should be held on a more regular basis; considers that it would be a welcome development should the US Congress decide to follow the example of Parliament, which has, since January 2010, been represented in Washington through its Liaison Office;

50. rappelle l'importance stratégique du voisinage oriental; demande d'intensifier les efforts et l'engagement politique en vue de la réalisation des objectifs du partenariat oriental, tel qu'énoncés dans la déclaration de Prague et les conclusions du sommet de Varsovie et rappelés dans la déclaration commune «Partenariat oriental: une feuille de route pour le sommet de l'automne 2012» du 15 mai 2012, à savoir, notamment une accélération de l'association politique et l'intégration économique, et le renforcement de la mobilité des citoyens dans un environnement sûr et bien géré; est d'avis que l'Union devrait en particulier poursuivre les négociations des accords d'association avec les partenaires orientaux et leur conclusion, promouvoir la mobilité via des partenariats pour la mobilité et des dialogues en matière de visas et veiller à des progrès constants dans l'adoption et la mise en œuvre de réformes, en étroite association avec l'assemblée parlementaire EURONEST; rappelle que toutes les décisions doivent s'accompagner de l'affectation de moyens financiers adéquats, et demande un examen plus poussé de ces questions dans le cadre du partenariat pour la modernisation;

Recalls that the Eastern Neighbourhood is of strategic importance; calls for greater efforts, and a greater political commitment, to achieve the objectives of the Eastern Partnership – as stated in the Prague Declaration and the Warsaw Summit Conclusions, and recalled in the Joint Communication ‘Eastern Partnership: A Roadmap to the Autumn 2013 Summit’ of 15 May 2012 – including, in particular, accelerating political association and economic integration, and enhancing mobility for citizens in a secure and well-managed environment; is of the opinion that the Union should, in particular, pursue the negotiations on, and conclusions of, association agreements with the Eastern Partners that promote mobility through mobility partnerships and visa dialogues and that ensure continued progress in adoption and implementation of reforms, in close association with the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly; highlights that all decisions shall be accompanied by the allocation of adequate financial resources, and calls for an improvement in addressing these issues within the Partnership for Modernisation;

La coopération parlementaire s'est également poursuivie à l'échelon régional, dans le cadre des réunions annuelles de la conférence des commissions pour l'intégration européenne des États participant au processus de stabilisation et d'association (COSAP Balkans occidentaux), et au sein du forum parlementaire de Cetinje.
Regional parliamentary cooperation has also continued in the annual meetings of the Conference of the Committees on European Integration of the States participating in the Stabilisation and Association Process (Western Balkans COSAP) and in the Cetinje Parliamentary Forum.
