Le présent document a pour objectif de fournir des orientations pour l'identification des aspects environnementaux significatifs des activités, des produits et des services sur lesquels une organisation appliquant le système EMAS peut agir ou avoir une influence conformément à l'annexe VI. Dans le système EMAS, les aspects environnementaux significatifs occupent une place centrale dans le système de management environnemental d'une organisation, dans l'évaluation et dans l'amélioration de ses résultats en matière d'environnement, par l'établissement d'objectifs généraux et spécifiques et grâce au processus de réexamen permanent.
The purpose of this document is to give guidance for the identification of significant environmental aspects arising from activities, products and services over which an organisation applying EMAS has management control or influence according to Annex VI. Under EMAS, significant environmental aspects are at the centre of attention of an organisation's environmental management system and of the evaluation and improvement of its environmental performance by setting objectives and targets as well as of the ongoing review process.

"aspects environnementaux significatifs", les aspects reconnus comme importants pour un produit lié à l'énergie dans une mesure d'exécution adoptée en application de la directive 2005/32/CE concernant ledit produit;
"significant environmental aspects" means those aspects identified as significant for an energy-related product in an implementing measure adopted pursuant to Directive 2005/32/EC with respect to that product;

Vu l'importance d'investir dans des équipements plus économes en énergie, ce qui permet également de réduire les coûts de leur utilisation, nous invitons la Commission à réaliser une étude de faisabilité visant à déterminer si, lors de l'adoption des mesures d'exécution concernées, l'étiquette devrait également comporter, à l'intention des utilisateurs finaux, toutes les informations relatives aux aspects environnementaux significatifs de toute la durée de vie du produit.
Considering the importance of investing in better performing appliances, which have at the same time reduced running costs, we call the Commission to take up a feasibility study on whether the label - through the adoption of relevant implementing measures - should also provide information to end-users regarding all the significant environmental impacts throughout the entire life cycle of a product.
