MISCELLANEOUS DECISIONS (Adopted without debate.) Europe/Asia meeting The Council - agreed to make preparations, in close conjunction with the Asian side, for a "Europe-Asia" meeting at the highest level which might take place in Thailand in the first half of 1996; - considers that, in the light of the two reference documents from ASEAN and the European Union, this meeting between Heads of State or of Government should be informal and should offer an opportunity to broach the main economic and political topics of interest to both parties and that it should be a matter for each of the parties to choose its participants; - consequently instructs the Presidency and the Commission to continue discussions to work out the detailed arrangements for and content of this meeting; - has decided to report to the European Council in Cannes on the subject.
