TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

1. Par dérogation à l'article 18, paragraphe 1, si un organisme de sélection réalise un programme de sélection approuvé conformément à l'article 8, paragraphe 3, et, le cas échéant, à l'article 12 pour une race pour laquelle il n'existe pas de livre généalogique dans aucun État membre ni aucun des pays tiers figurant sur la liste prévue à l'article 34, ledit organisme de sélection peut inscrire dans la section principale du livre généalogique nouvellement établi les reproducteurs de race pure ou les descendants de reproducteurs de race pure de différentes races ou tout animal jugé par l'organisme de sélection comme étant conforme aux caractéristiques de cette nouvelle race et, le cas échéant, comme satisfaisant aux exigences minimales de performance fixées dans le programme de sélection.
1. By way of derogation from Article 18(1), where a breed society carries out a breeding programme approved in accordance with Article 8(3), and, where applicable, Article 12, for a breed for which no breeding book exists in any Member State or third country included in the list provided for in Article 34, that breed society may enter in the main section of that newly established breeding book, purebred breeding animals or descendants from purebred breeding animals of different breeds or any animal which is judged by the breed society to conform to the characteristics of that new breed and, where applicable, fulfils the minimum performance requirements laid down in the breeding programme.

(2) Tout animal pour alimentation humaine désigné comme étant condamné doit être abattu dans une aire de l’établissement agréé faisant partie de l’aire des animaux vivants ou de l’aire des produits incomestibles et faire l’objet des mesures prévues à l’article 54.
(2) Every food animal identified as condemned shall be slaughtered in an area of the registered establishment that is part of the live animal area or the inedible products area and shall be handled in accordance with section 54.

(d) no bovine animal has been introduced without a certificate from an official veterinarian showing either that the conditions laid down in 1 (d) apply to it or that it comes from a bovine herd recognised as brucellosis-free and, in that case, if it is over twelve months old, that it has shown in the thirty days before it was taken into the herd a count lower than 30 IU of agglutination per millilitre and a negative complement fixation reaction.
