- (DE) Monsieur le Président, Mesdames et Messieurs, comme le commissaire l’a souligné - et je lui en suis reconnaissante -, le transport fluvial représente 6% du total des transports de marchandises et de personnes. Un programme ambitieux s’avère donc indispensable si l’on doit exploiter ces capacités sous-utilisées et améliorer l’infrastructure existante.
– (DE) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, as the Commissioner has emphasised – and I am obliged to him for doing so – 6% of all goods and persons transported are carried on waterways, and so an ambitious programme is required if these unused capacities are to be put to work and the existing infrastructure improved.
