À la suite du décès d’un militant étudiant, Akbar Mohammadi, à la prison d’Evin le 24 août, la présidence a déclaré que l’Union européenne était extrêmement préoccupée par la dureté des traitements infligés aux dissidents, aux dirigeants de l’opposition, aux militants étudiants et à tous les défenseurs des droits de l’homme dans les prisons iraniennes.
On account of the death of the student activist, Akbar Mohammad, at the Evin prison on 24 August, the Presidency said that the EU was seriously concerned about the harsh treatment of dissidents, opposition leaders, student activists and all defenders of human rights in Iranian prisons.
