40. félicite la Croatie et la Serbie pour l'ambition qu'elles affichent et les efforts qu'elles déploient pour consolider la réconciliation de leurs populations dans une atmosphère de confiance réciproque; salue la visite du président serbe, M. Tadić, et du président croate à Vukovar, où le président serbe a témoigné son respect et a présenté ses excuses pour les crimes commis à Ovčara, près de Vukovar, ainsi que leur engagement commun à enquêter sur le sort des personnes disparues et à trouver des solutions à la question des réfugiés et des rapatriés, y voyant une étape importante de la réconciliation; se félicite du fait que le président croate, M. Josipović, a rendu hommage aux victimes serbes tuées pendant la guerre en Croatie; se félicite de la signature de l'accord d'extradition des personnes soupçonnées ou accusées de crimes liés à la criminalité organisée et à la corruption entre la Croatie et la Serbie le 29 juin 2010, ainsi que de la conclusion de l'accord d'extradition entre la République de Croatie et le Monténégro le 1 octobre 2010, s'agissant d'un pas décisif vers le renforcement de la lutte contre la corruption et la criminalité organisée et vers la réduction de l'impunité dans la région;

Commends Croatia and Serbia for their ambition and efforts to strengthen reconciliation among their citizens in an atmosphere of mutual trust; welcomes the visit by Serbian President Tadić together with the Croatian President to Vukovar, where Serbia's President paid his respects and apologised for the crimes committed at Ovčara near Vukovar, as well as the common commitment to investigate the fate of missing persons and to find solutions to refugee and return issues as important steps towards reconciliation; welcomes the fact that the Croatian President Josipović paid tribute to the Serbian victims of the war in Croatia; welcomes the signing of the agreement on extradition of persons suspected or convicted of crimes related to organised crime and corruption between Croatia and Serbia on 29 June 2010, as well as the conclusion of the extradition agreement between the Republic of Croatia and Montenegro on 1 October 2010, as a significant step in enhancing the effectiveness of the fight against corruption and organised crime and reducing impunity within the region;

Welcomes the resolution on Srebrenica adopted by the Serbian Parliament as a significant step in the process of raising awareness of the atrocities that happened in the recent past and of regional reconciliation; commends the decision of President Tadić to participate in the commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica as a further step in this direction, as well as his visit to Vukovar, where he paid his respects and apologised to the victims of the massacre at Ovčara in 1991, giving a new impetus to the development of good-neighbourly relations between Serbia and Croatia; welcomes the commitment and professionalism of the Office of the Special Prosecutor for War Crimes, including the swift reaction with regard to the Lake Perućac investigation;

Cette année, nous avons rendu hommage à 353 anciens combattants morts au cours de l'année; la cérémonie comprenait une salve d'honneur de trois coups de canon et un survol d'avions d'époque. Nous avons également rendu hommage aux 16 hommes et femmes morts au service du pays en Afghanistan ainsi qu'à l'agent supérieur John Atkinson, qui a été tué dans l'exercice de ses fonctions au sein de notre service de police.
We also recognized the 16 men and one woman who died in service in Afghanistan and Senior Constable John Atkinson, who was killed in the line of duty for our police services.
