Calls on the Commission to enhance financial support to the South Eastern Europe Clearing House for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SEESAC) in Belgrade, the Regional Gender Institute (GTF) in Zagreb, and in particular the recently launched Agenda for Regional Action II (AREA II) which will focus on the sustainability of solutions for displaced populations and whose work could be jeopardised by lack of money; welcomes the recent Council decision to implement a joint action with a view to an EU contribution of EUR 200 000 to SEESAC; expects that the financial statement of this joint action will soon be sent to the European Parliament, in accordance with the Interinstitutional Agreement of 6 May 1999;
