Le 25 juin 2010, le porte-parole de la haute représentante de l'Union pour les affaires étrangères et la politique de sécurité, Mme Catherine Ashton, a publié une déclaration prenant acte de l'approbation, par le conseil législatif, des réformes électorales de 2012 et précisant que l'Union européenne continuait de soutenir avec force la réalisation de progrès rapides et substantiels vers l'objectif d'un véritable suffrage universel, conformément à la loi fondamentale de Hong Kong et aux normes internationales, qui constitue la meilleure garantie de stabilité et de prospérité pour la population.
On 25 June 2010, the spokesperson of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Catherine Ashton, issued a statement which took note of the Legislative Council's approval of the 2012 electoral reforms and stressed that the EU continued to strongly support early and substantial progress towards the goal of genuine universal suffrage in accordance with the Basic Law of Hong Kong and international standards. It concluded that this was the best guarantee of stability and prosperity for the Hong Kong people.

In order to strengthen trade mark protection and combat counterfeiting more effectively, and in line with international obligations of the Union under the framework of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), in particular Article V of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) on freedom of transit and, as regards generic medicines, the ‘Declaration on the TRIPS Agreement and public health’ adopted by the Doha WTO Ministerial Conference on 14 November 2001, the proprietor of an EU trade mark should be entitled to prevent third parties from bringing goods, in the course of trade, into the Union without being released for free circulation there, where such goods come from third countries and bear without authorisation a trade mark which is identical or essentially identical with the EU trade mark registered in respect of such goods.

annuler la décision rendue par la deuxième chambre de recours de l’Office de l’harmonisation dans le marché intérieur (marques, dessins et modèles), du 3 juin 2014 dans l’affaire R 2449/2013-2, en ce qu’elle n’est pas conforme au droit et qu’elle ne respecte pas les dispositions légales en vigueur sur la marque communautaire; rendre ensuite une décision conforme aux demandes exprimées dans le présent recours en raison du caractère distinctif intrinsèque suffisant de la marque tridimensionnelle demandée, accueillir le recours et ordonner l’inscription au registre de la demande de marque communautaire tridimensionnelle no 1 1 7 48 051, dans la classe 30 de la classification internationale en ce qu’elle est conforme au droit et comme il convient en droit;
annul the decision of the Second Board of Appeal of the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) of 3 June 2010 in Case R 2449/2013-2 on the grounds of illegality and failure to observe the applicable legislative provisions relating to the Community trade mark, give judgment in accordance with the form of order sought set out in this application to the effect that the three-dimensional mark applied for is sufficiently inherently distinctive, grant this application and order that the three-dimensional Community trade mark application No 1 1 7 48 051 be entered into the register of trade marks in Class 30 of the International Classification as it is consistent with the requirements of Community trade mark law;

annuler la décision de la quatrième chambre de recours de l’Office de l’harmonisation dans le marché intérieur (marques, dessins et modèles) du 19 mai 2014 dans l’affaire R 1911/2013-4, en ce qu’elle n’est pas conforme au droit et qu’elle ne respecte pas les dispositions légales en vigueur sur la marque communautaire; rendre ensuite une décision conforme aux demandes exprimées dans le présent recours soit en raison du caractère distinctif intrinsèque de la marque tridimensionnelle demandée, soit en raison du caractère distinctif acquis par l’usage, accueillir le recours et ordonner l’inscription au registre de la demande de marque communautaire tridimensionnelle no 1 1 7 47 987, dans la classe 30 de la classification internationale en ce qu’elle est conforme au droit et comme il convient en droit;
annul the decision of the Fourth Board of Appeal of the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (Trade Marks and Designs) of 19 May 2014 in Case R 1911/2013-4, because it is unlawful and infringes the legal provisions in force concerning the Community trade mark; deliver a judgment in accordance with the claims set out in the application, whether on the basis of the intrinsic distinctiveness of the three-dimensional mark applied for or the distinctiveness acquired by use, upholding the present action and ordering the registration of the application for a three-dimensional Community trade mark No 1 1 7 47 987, for goods in class 30 of the International Classification, on the grounds that it is lawful and admissible;

In Finland, under Section 8 of the 'Laki eräistä kansainvälisluontoisista perheoikeudellisista suhteista`/'Lag angående vissa familjerättsliga förhållanden av internationell natur` (International Family Relations Act) revised in 1987, Finnish courts will hear matrimonial cases even where neither spouse is habitually resident in Finland if the courts of the State of habitual residence of either of the spouses do not have jurisdiction or if application to the courts of the State of habitual residence would cause unreasonable difficulties and, furthermore, in the circumstances it would appear to be appropriate to assume jurisdiction (forum conveniens).
