Eu égard à l'importance de ces deux secteurs dans certains pays d'Europe centrale et orientale, notamment la Pologne, la Roumanie et la République tchèque, il semblerait justifié que les pays adhérant à l'Union contribuent aux avoirs du fonds de recherche étant donné qu'ils seront les principaux bénéficiaires des activités post-CECA ainsi que des programmes de modernisation et de restructuration financés par l'UE.
Considering the importance of these two sectors in some Central and Eastern European countries, such as Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic, it would seem justified that the accessing countries contribute to the assets of the Coal and Steel Research Fund, as they will be the main beneficiaries of post-ECSC activities as well as of the modernisation and restructuring programmes financed by the EU.
