TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Deux nouveaux instruments - les projets intégrés (IP) et les réseaux d'excellence (NoE) - ont été introduits et sont complétés par une gamme d'autres instruments et actions [17], parmi lesquels des projets intégrés réservés aux PME.
Two new instruments have been introduced, namely the Integrated Projects (IP) and Networks of Excellence (NE). These are complemented by a range of other instruments and actions [17] including dedicated IPs for SMEs.

Outre la réponse qu'elles apportent à deux requêtes du Conseil réclamant l'élaboration d'une stratégie européenne d'AIZC [1], les actions énoncées dans ce document constituent la contribution de l'UE à l'exécution d'une série d'accords internationaux, parmi lesquels le Chapitre 17 de l'Action 21 [2], le Mandat de Djakarta sur la biodiversité marine et côtière dans le cadre de la Convention sur la diversité biologique et le Code de conduite pour une pêche responsable de la FAO dont l'article 10 est consacré dans son intégralité à l'AIZC.
As well as responding to two Council requests for a European ICZM Strategy [1], the actions outlined in this document serve as an EU contribution towards the implementation of international agreements, including Chapter 17 of Agenda 21 [2], the Jakarta Mandate on marine and coastal biodiversity under the Convention on Biological Diversity and the FAO's Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries, article 10 of which is entirely devoted to ICZM.

Other targeted advocacy activities in the U.S. have included Assistant Deputy Minister Mark Corey's participation in the tri-national accord meeting in May 14-17, 2002, in Nogales, Arizona, and a meeting in Chicago organized by the province-state advisory group in July 2002, which was dedicated specifically to COL. This meeting brought together U.S. states, provinces and federal government officials from both sides of the border.
